Strategy to reform EveryNation
I would love to see the personality cults disbanded, proper moral discipline restored, healing of wounded people and God and the Bible back at the centre and the denomination returned to Evangelical Christianity.
This board has been a great start that is helping a lot of people, but I feel that to successfully reform EveryNation we need to do more. [Now those who don't want to do more please just keep on doing what you are doing and please don't get upset with my suggestions.]
Specifically I feel we need to:
* Organise prayer specifically for the reform of EveryNation. That is how all works of the Holy Spirit happen. Prayer can be organised for example, around prayer networks, and/or days of prayer etc.
* Raise money to spend on reform initiatives, which can be used for publications and employing people to work at this full time or part time.
* Compile a manifesto, which includes a summary of the issues we want addressed. i.e. Summarise the issues on this board. This can later mature into more serious theological debate.
* Set up a committee, which will work on mobilising reform.
* Register a non-profit lobby group to work for reform, such as Anglican Mainstream or Roman Catholic Faithful.
* Find allies in Christian leaders of various groups who will add pressure for reform and help the EveryNation leaders to see through their blind spots.
* Enter into dialogue with any leaders in EveryNation who are prepared to talk to us.
* An exit counselling network to help people who have been abused and persecuted.
Thats my suggested vision for the way forward.
DO WE REALLY NEED TO ORGANISE?
Basically, there is a limit to what you can achieve in a disorganised manner. If you want to then press further through to victory, you have to organise. I understand some people are fed up with being over-organised inside EveryNation. No pressure. Take time off to recover. But really, if you want to win, we need to organise - otherwise the minority of personality cultists who are organised can dominate. They are getting paid for their time and have a lot of money and institutional structure to defend their personality cults.
Maybe you don't support all of the above? How about supporting the bit you do agree with.
Those who are not interested in the above, you don't need to be part of it, but those who do - please start thinking about what you can do and post more suggestions on how we can flesh this out and/or add your ideas/ questions below.
