With the Holy Week activities nearly over there has been little activities here or on FACTNET. My access is also still limited and if there is a hacker we will soon find out.
Do you agree that an apostle can determine your destiny?
See Ulyankee's blog for a start to that discussion.

Well, apparently yes, whether they're supposed to is another story. That whumping noise from the proverbial laundry room of life is the out of balance load in the spin cycle. The five fold ministry as we like to refer to it is supposed to work in concert to equip the saints for the work of service-to minister themselves. What we have is an out sized area of influence that needs reigning in. We've lost sight of the simplicity of the Gospel, the relationship that need fostering between Jesus and His flock. We have an entire generation (or two) that don't know Jesus, what they do know is a cult of personality which has held an unhealthy preeminence in people's lives. We have great deal of un-learning to do as a consequence. Much of what is mistaken for Christianity as a result is nothing more or less than brainwashing and indoctrination, we churn out copious amounts of propaganda that is consumed as truth, when it fails and the cracks appear then their utopia evaporates. When the fivefold ministry operates in God given fashion then the Body of Christ has a realistic view of life derived from their relationship with Jesus, not a set of expectations that stem from a few egocentrics' platitudes. This however is not new Jesus himself called His generation to repent, to wake-up, to let go of their religious teddy bears-some did. John

Anyone can determine your destiny -- wrongly -- if you listen to them... Dan Rather, Britney Spears, Charlie Sheen, John Kerry, Monica Lewinsky. Anyone whom you follow and listen to can determine your destiny. How is that any different from listening to an apostle.
I think that an apostle SHOULD NOT "determine" your destiny, and no one would seriously think otherwise unless the apostle is a fraud.
First, a Christian leader might DISCOVER God's ideas for your destiny and help find it with you. But it is GOD ALONE who determines your destiny.... AND ONLY THEN if you are obedient to God.
Second, an apostle is one who plants and leads Churches, and is not primarily involved in individual lives in that way. If you answer God's call to ministry (for example) and become a minister working under that apostle, then like any supervisor responsible for an institution the apostle should be supervising, guiding, developing, and growing leaders who have placed themselves as part of his team. But all people in that church? No, not really.
THIRD, A BIG PART OF THIS PROBLEM LAYS WITH THE IMMATURITY AND LACK OF BIBLE STUDY AMONG THE FOLLOWERS.
Most of what I see people complaining about are things that WERE NEVER SAID, but immature and unthinking followers MISUNDERSTOOD because of their own lack of Biblical understanding.
Let's be clear: Do you know who is responsible for you understanding the Bible? It is nobody but you.
So much of the problem is that an apostle or prophet will say something, often in passing and having no special intention, then the listener WILL FREAK OUT AND JUMP OFF A CLIFF in their thinking. But it wasn't the apostle's fault. It was the immature listener's fault. (Okay, maybe both share the blame.)
