How many times have you been in church listening to a pastor preach, telling you to speak to your situation and God shall move on your behalf? How many times have you been told to prophecy to any difficult situation you are faced with because your words carry power? It is believed that by quoting scripture which is relevant to your challenge be it health, poverty, job, marriage and relationships there is a divine intervention from above and whatever predicament you are faced with will disappear. If you have done it and things don’t turnaround then you get accused of not having enough faith.
This issue of not having enough faith has resulted in the healing schools and prophetic schools being born in a number of ministries. For example there is a famous healing school in Gauteng- Randburg by Christ Embassy Ministries whereby they are teaching believers how to receive their healing. Is that Biblical? Did the first Apostles teach those they were healing how to receive it? Was there an instance whereby someone was not healed because they did not know how to receive their healing? This doctrine is from Satan himself and is not from God. It is the Spirit of God that heals and not our words therefore to learn how to receive healing is a false doctrine authored by Satan to bring false hopes to you which will lead you to disappointment with God and then at the end you will think there is no God, then you will move further away from Him, dying in your sins all because of ignorance.
Some churches are also offering lessons through Prophetic schools on how to become a prophet, this again my friends is a doctrine of the devils straight from the mouth of Satan himself. True prophets are not self-appointed but are appointed by God. Infact, all God’s stewards are called and appointed by Him. If you were to study the Old Testament and take note of the pattern used by God in appointing His great men, you will notice that all those men were not men driven by aspiration or ambition, there were chosen by God.
Abraham did not appoint himself instead God said to him: “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto the land that I will show thee.” Gen 12: 1
Moses did not appoint himself instead God spoke to him from the burning bush and He said “Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.”Ex. 3:10
From this passage we see how Moses came with so many excuses as to why he was not the right candidate for the job but God had chosen. We see how David being the keeper of the sheep was called and anointed to be a king. God had said to Samuel “Look not on his countenance or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart. It was the Lord that said to Samuel as concerning David: “Anoint him”
It is an error for the church to believe they can appoint themselves as prophets, go to prophetic schools in order to learn how to prophesy and above that prophesy lies in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We see the so called “prophets” in the churches prophesying about people’s lives, their jobs, marriages, health, finances and even hobbies which apparently might turn out to be careers. This again is not of God; this is not what God intended prophecy to be about in this covenant. In this covenant, Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. He is the pattern setter therefore prophecy has to confirm Him alone and not us.
The false shepherds (pastors; prophets; evangelists; teachers and apostles who have not submitted under God’s spiritual government for their doctrinal cleansing) are teaching the believers that they can prophesy their way to the top, out of a trouble into the good life. They teach you must fill your heart with the Word, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34) therefore you must learn to recite the scripture and apply it to your situation. To validate their doctrine they quote from the book of Ezekiel 37: 3-4:
“And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord”
We know that as soon as Ezekiel complied a great miracle took place and the bones came together, covered with sinews, flesh and skin. This incidence is used as a doctrine of talking your way out of every predicament! God used Ezekiel as a sign against the people of Israel, he was not teaching us to prophesy our way to success and transcend life in Jesus Christ whereby you can claim anything in Jesus’ name and it shall come to pass.
All God’s promises are fulfilled in covenant. If you want God to heal you and to get involved in your life, come into covenant; submit under His spiritual government, truth and spirit. Learn how to serve the Lord, learn how to worship Him in Truth and in Spirit. You cannot serve God in ignorance; you can not serve Him by your imaginations, passion and zeal, He desires your faith. Faith is not just believing or acknowledging that there is a God somewhere out there, you’ve got to conform to His ways. There is an activity required from your side, there is a responsibility required from your side. Praise God that it is not your money or talent, it not your charitable works but the works of His covenant which are prayer, prophecy, preaching, gifts, callings, manifold graces, spiritual government, truth and spirit. These are the things sprinkled by the blood of Jesus Christ authorized for our faith in Him. These things are spiritual and with these we worship God. You learn how to serve God in these things by getting in contact with His apostles; they will teach you how to serve God. They will teach you how these things work together synergistically for the perfection of your faith.
Once you come into covenant with God, you will learn the meaning of True Prophecy according to the will of God. You will learn that true prophecy does not speak of man’s aspirations, wants, needs, frailty and principles, it speaks of Christ. True prophecy confirms Jesus Christ from the foundation of Truth. This foundation of truth is laid in the heart of a believer as they come under apostolic governance.
There are three kinds of prophecy and for your reference we will call them level1, 2 and 3. Level one prophecy is about the spiritual sacrifices of the believer. In this form of prophecy believers are reciprocating Christ back to one another in His purest form. This prophecy is the one spoken of by Apostle Peter where he says: “Ye also as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” 1Peter: 5
Your pastor cannot teach you how to offer these spiritual sacrifices because he also does not know how. You learn that from God’s true Apostles called and raised for this very purpose, to prepare the church for the coming of the Messiah. God is not coming for the church which is wrinkled, impure and has discord. He is coming for a perfect church, whose unity is unfeigned, which speaks in one voice, one doctrine, one baptism and one Jesus Christ. We cannot reach this perfection when we continue to stand indifferent or independent; we have to come under one umbrella which is His apostolic governance. He is restoring the apostles back to the church for the purpose of doctrinal cleansing.
Level two prophecy is an utterance given to a believer as the Spirit of God moves to either foretell or confirm Christ.
Level three prophecy is the prophets calling. The measure of grace given to this office is for the confirmation of God’s spiritual government, truth and Spirit and the direction of the church.
Please note that in all the three kinds of prophecy nothing is about us. It is all about Jesus Christ and His work of redemption through His blood that was shed at Calvary.
If you truly love God, truly desire to be identified with Him, surely you will be interested in knowing more about Him. This is the time of grace and mercy, His knowledge is at hand for all those who are hungry and thirsty, He will satisfy your soul and you will never thirst again. Maybe as you read through this article, you are thinking this is against your feelings or your spirit does not agree with it, of course it will not agree with it! This is the Truth, for two thousand years the church was in darkness under the spell of Satan; he taught us many false doctrines to such an extent that the Truth is not acceptable to the soul.
If you hear His voice (grace) today, do not harden your heart but come and learn of Him for He is meek and lowly, His yoke is lighter than the yoke put on you by the false shepherds, it is not too late to undo the false indoctrinations of the past. You might have benefited in the false religious system in position and money, but it is not too late to re-learn. You might have written books teaching people how to receive their healings or how to prophesy the flesh but God today is giving you a chance to start anew, to come into covenant with Him and partake of the Bread of Life.
Maybe you have been prophesied to in the past and nothing of that prophesy ever came to pass and you were disappointed, you need not to be offended but rejoice because True prophecy confirms Christ and not man. God is not a liar, that false prophet lied to you in the name of Jesus Christ; it was not Jesus that lied to you.
May the Lord be faithful to all those who seek Him in truth. May you find Him while He can still be found. For He says: “Behold I stand at the door, and knock, if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev 3: 20
